Part of de-stigmatizing conversations around mental health begins at an early age and education. This middle school mental health panel took place at Alexander Dawson School in front of 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders. We had an open discussion about mental health topics including, how to seek help, why it’s necessary to take care of your mental health, signs of mental health distress and more. Dr. Sheldon Jacobs moderated the events. To have the teen committee plan a youth panel and discussion at your school, please fill out the information on our Contact page.
