YOU ARE

NOT ALONE

  • 1 in 3 teens have considered suicide

  • Suicide is the #1 killer of our youth age 12 - 19 in Nevada

  • Suicide is the #2 killer of Nevadans aged 19 to 40

The Hope Means Nevada #ask5 movement is powered solely by people. By us. Hope means everything. #Ask5 of your friends and family how they are REALLY doing. It could save a life!

NEVADA SENATE
BILL 249

Senate Bill 249 was passed June 7, 2021 which will allow for 3 mental health days for all students across Nevada. SB249 will not only make mental and behavioral health excused absences for students who need them, it would also quickly provide a red flag that a student is struggling before it’s too late.

ABOUT HOPE MEANS NEVADA

Hope For Teens was created by Caroline and Lauren Edgeworth to shine a light and to de-stigmatize discussions around mental health for middle school and high school students across Nevada. As Co-Chairs for the Teen Committee for Hope Means Nevada, their goal is to end suicides in Nevada.
